FIREFIGHTERS were called to the Trafford Centre following a van fire yesterday.
The crew from Stretford Fire Station arrived to find the Renault van on fire just outside the entrance on Parkway, Trafford Park, at around 11.15am.
Three firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze using a hose reel, a thermal imaging camera and some tools, however, the vehicle was almost completely destroyed during the incident.
It is thought the fire began due to an electrical fault in the engine compartment of the van.
