JUDGING has started in a unique art competition.
Messenger teamed up with the CMFT, Altrincham Hospital developer Citybranch and development partner Pochin to offer artists the chance to have their designs displayed on the hoardings surrounding the new hospital site for the duration of its construction.
Now members of the public can view the entries and cast their votes on which art they would like to see on display.
The final say will rest with the judging panel, but the public vote will be taken into account.
The entries are on public display at the Altrincham Forward office, in Shaws Road, where the judges will meet on Monday to make their decision.
One of the judges, Beth Weston, director of Trafford Hospitals – Trafford General, Altrincham, and Stretford Memorial Hospitals – said: “The competition is a great way to get local people involved in the new hospital development at a very early stage. I’m looking forward to being one of the judges.”
