THE children who welcome fostered youngsters into their families have been thanked by Trafford Council with a morning of fun at Chill Factore.
Executive councillor Linda Blackburn believes these youngsters are the unsung heroes of the fostering process do not get the credit they deserve.
“It is important they realise the huge part their selfless, mature, caring attitudes play in helping us provide such high quality foster family placements,” she said.
“We quite literally could not achieve this without their commitment and supporting attitude.”
One child said: “I did find it scary at the beginning and was worried mum wouldn’t have enough time to spend with me.
“I needn’t have worried though – the three children with us now are like brothers and sisters.”
