B&Q has announced the impending closure of its store in Stretford.
The DIY chain confirmed that the Great Stone Road outlet would shut sometime next year.
In a short stamen, a spokesman for B&Q said: ““We have informed staff at the Stretford store that it will be closing next year, in 2016.
"Our focus for the coming months is on redeploying as many colleagues as we can within B&Q and the Kingfisher Group.”
At the end of March, B&Q parent company, Kingfisher, announced it would be closing 60 B&Q stores nationwide during the next two years.
The firm said impact of the closures on staff would be offset by Kingfisher’s plans to open 60 new outlets under the Screwfix brand in the coming year.
