STUCK for something to do this rainy May Bank Holiday?
Lowry Outlet’s Waterside markets return from Saturday April 30 to Monday May 2, with a fresh new style for 2016 and for the first time, inside the mall.
New local producers, in addition to many of the previous year’s favourites, will sell from traditional ‘barrow’ style pop-up stalls within the outlet, showcasing their artisan wares.
Kelly Hurst, centre manager at Lowry Outlet, said: “We’re always looking of ways to improve our events and we have taken the decision to refresh the look and feel of the markets for 2016 and bring it indoors for visitors to enjoy more browsing time, whatever the weather.”
The bustling markets will host a variety of specialist stalls selling everything from small-batch breads to handmade chocolates, plus local cheeses and traditional French and Spanish wines. Unique crafts from a select group of award-winning makers will also be on offer.
Children and families can enjoy additional fun as Lowry Outlet is hosting an area of jungle themed craft activities running alongside the markets, plus some jungle-inspired entertainment, which will include two lifelike gorillas roaming the malls on Saturday and Sunday and a giant theatrical tiger puppet on the bank holiday Monday.
