A556 and M6 drivers are being advised of a new month-long phase of overnight carriageway closures, starting tomorrow.
From Monday October 10, both carriageways of the A556 between Mere crossroads and the M6 close from 9pm to 5am, Monday through Friday, until Friday November 4.
During the same period, the roundabout at junction 19 of the M6 will be closed from pm to 5am, excluding Saturday and Sunday nights.
Drivers on the northbound M6 will be able to leave at junction 19 but only to access the southbound A556 for Northwich.
The entry slip road onto the eastbound M56 at junction 7 will be closed from 9pm on Wednesday October 12 to 5am on Thursday October 13.
The work forms part of the new £192 million A556 Knutsford to Bowdon dual carriageway between the M6 and M56, which is due to open in the Spring.
Drivers are advised to check traffic conditions before setting out on journeys while queues from the full closure clear. Highways England provides live traffic information via its website trafficengland.com.
