A man is in a "potentially life-threatening condition" after he had a suspected medical episode while driving, leading to a crash in Trafford.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have said that at around 7pm yesterday (Saturday, October 19), the man was driving on Redclyffe Road, near Trafford Park, when the incident happened.
It is suspected that the man had a medical episode whilst driving, causing him to crash into a lamppost.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains in a "potentially life-threatening condition" according to police.

At around 7pm this evening (Saturday 19 October) on Redclyffe Road, a male driver had a suspected medical episode whilst driving, colliding with a lamppost.

Officers are investigating the incident and a scene remains in place.
GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for anyone who may have dash cam, mobile phone or CCTV footage, to come forward and assist their investigation.
Anyone who saw the collision is urged to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 0161 856 4741, quoting log 2832 of 19/10/2024.
