THE mystery surrounding strange lights in the Davyhulme sky last Thursday night has been solved.
One onlooker reported seeing a small object fly into a large golden sphere at about 11.30pm.
But Denise Osborne, from Flixton, confirmed she let off two lanterns that night.
She said: “They are harmless and fortunately or unfortunately have nothing to do with an alien invasion!”
Denise plans to let some more out into the sky tonight.
