AN Urmston teenager took another step closer to realising her dream of becoming a West End star in the BBC1 talent show Over the Rainbow.
The judges were full of praise for Danielle Hope, 17, a Knutsford High School student and former Highfield Primary School pupil after Saturday's show where she sang Just a Little Girl.
Sheila Hancock said: “I don’t care whether you get Dorothy or not, you’ve got a big career ahead of you. You’re a really good actress”
John Partridge, who plays Christian in EastEnders, said: “No-one is going to look over you after that performance because it was your best to-date. It was committed, it was intelligent and an extremely sophisticated performance for a girl your age."
And Charlotte Church said: “Danielle I love how you are so dynamic. You’re not afraid to go quiet. I loved the whole performance it was absolutely brilliant."
Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber added: “Danielle you are really fantastic you are a very, very strong contender.”
Danielle said: "Before the first live show I’ve never felt so nervous in my whole entire life. Just because I’m a little bit more reserved doesn’t mean I can’t pack a punch on stage.”
