SWEET-toothed Hale residents flocked to the opening of the village’s new retro shop, The Gobstopper last week.
Bowdon mum Lisa Oakes was greeted with queues of people when she opened the Ashley Road sweet shop on July 5.
She said: “There’s been a real buzz around the opening. Only yesterday when I was driving past and the sun was shining I could see fingerprints and nose prints on the window where children have been taking an eager look inside!
“We’re delighted with the support we’ve had from local residents and businesses and I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved.
“I hope The Gobstopper will become a real destination sweet shop and will attract even more people into Hale Village.”
