FIREFIGHTERS were called to Manchester Road, Timperley, after reports of a car on fire yesterday.
The crew from Altrincham Fire Station was called to the incident at around 11am.
Upon arrival, the crew found a small fire in the engine compartment of the car, which they were able to put out with a hose reel within four minutes.
The fire was thought to have been caused by a fault in the electric wiring in the engine bay of the vehicle, some of which was damaged as a result of the blaze.
