With the temperatures decreasing, festivities are increasing across the world, including Stockport.
The commencement of the festive season has lit up Stockport Centre with merriment and excitement. There is something for everyone here, from stalls selling fresh sweet treats, to Turkish delight, to handmade Christmas decorations, and even teacup rides- perfect for a family day out!
Not only is there a variety of stalls, but the regular entertainment provided by Stockport town Centre is still here. The Coffee House provides refuge from the bitter cold, with their plethora of warm drinks and confectionery goods, and from stores like Waterstones, to River Island, there truly is something to keep everyone entertained. And, to help get some Christmas shopping done, while keeping the festive mood alive!
This festivity is not only present in Stockport Town Centre, but everywhere around you. The mornings are slowly being welcomed by a soft blanket of frost, and on your walks to school, you are surely being pierced by the freezing wind. Slowly, your television will be taken over by the comfort Home Alone, and Elf and Nativity. We are nearing the end of the school term, welcomed by mock exams and tests, but rejoice for they are the last of the year. And they are a sign that the holidays are finally approaching.
This time, when we put away our shorts and dresses and sunglasses, we knew it was once and for all. We knew it was now officially time to wrap up warm in a cosy jumper, with a mug of hot chocolate and a good book in hand. Excitement brewing, as we light up our trees, to finally close off this year.
Happy Holidays!
