JOAN HOLLAND In loving memory of Joan Holland who peacefully passed away on Sunday 16th February 2020, aged 87 years at Wythenshawe Hospital after receiving wonderfully compassionate care from the ward F12 and the Macmillan nurses. Beloved wife of the late Maurice, much loved mum of Rick and Mark, mum in law of Julie and Daryl, fantastic grandma to Rory, Isis, Ariana, James and Alexander, great grandma to Orion, and treasured sister of Anne and Aunty to many. Mum, Grannie, Joan, will be greatly missed by all her family and friends in Manchester, Coventry, Leicester, Rugby and abroad. She was as kind and generous a person that you could have, and she was so brave when the dreaded cancer took hold. She never asked 'why me?' She coped with her illness with dignity and humour, she is so missed but leaves us with the lesson that life can be way more joy than not. Service and cremation will take place at Altrincham Crematorium Tuesday 10th March 3.15pm and afterwards at the Rope and Anchor, Dunham Massey to share stories and find comfort in loss with friends and loved ones. Flowers or donations to Wythenshawe Macmillan Centre can be arranged through Kenneth Dewey & Sons Funeral Directors, 2 Grove Lane, Hale WA15 8JE Tel: 0161-980-7010
