JEAN SHIELD It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mum, Jean Shield. Born Jean Brown in 1932, she grew up in Priory Road, Bowdon and attended Altrincham Grammar school for girls during the 1940's. An Architect, she lived as Jean Leyland at Broomfield Lane, Hale between 1967 and 1987 where she raised her two sons, Marcus and Guy. She was a dedicated bellringer at St Mary's Church, Bowdon. Mum passed away peacefully on February 3 following a long and brave battle against dementia at Prospect House Nursing Home, Malpas. Funeral arrangements are in hand with the funeral to be broadcast virtually to allow friends and family to attend.
