BROOKS Beatrice (née Bridge) On the 27th of January, peacefully in her sleep in a nursing home, Beatrice aged 99 years and of Flixton, late of Sale, West Kirby, Winsford, Davyhulme, Whalley Range, Scunthorpe, Rio de Janeiro and Mossley, Lancs. Beloved daughter of the late Harry and Gertrude, a dear cousin, 'Auntie Bea' and friend. Former President of Wirral National Union of Teachers, Hon. Member of the Institute of Engineering & Technology, former Section Officer, 3613 (City of Manchester) Fighter Control Unit, Royal Auxiliary Air Force, a Manchester High School for Girls alumna, Beatrice will be much missed by her family and friends. A celebration of Beatrice's life will take place at Altrincham Crematorium on Friday the 9th of February at 3.15pm. Donations, in lieu of flowers, are being received for the benefit of Blind Veterans UK in Beatrice's memory.
