THE Sale Waterside development has picked up top prize at a prestigious award ceremony.
The facility scooped first place in the Partners in PPP/PFI category at the national Premises and Facilities Management Awards 2006.
The Waterside project is run by Trafford council and Cofathec and the judges were impressed by the close working relationship that exists between the two organisations and the "can do" attitude that exists between them.
Executive member Cllr Stephanie Poole told SAM: "This is a great achievement in partnership working and shows how well the council can work with the private sector for the benefit of the community."
The awards scheme is the most prestigious in the facilities management sector and George Evans, the council's facilities manager added: "Winning this award is great recognition for Sale Waterside and the partnership we have put in place to ensure Trafford's residents get good value for their council tax."
