ALTRINCHAM take on crisis club Crawley Town at Moss Lane on Saturday as they try to add to their league tally of 20 points.
Crawley are in administration and are facing a winding up petition and a creditors meeting is scheduled for December 4, but the playing side of the operation remains as yet unaffected.
Alty manager Graham Heathcote wil have a next-to fully fit squad to pick from after a blank week last week and will revel in being able to pick his best team.
With no first-team game on Saturday, Moss Lane witnessed a training match between two sides comprising first teamers with a number of reserves. The team which included the four reserves won 5-4. The first teamers (wearing the red and white stripes) comprised Stuart Coburn, Steve Aspinall, Karl Munroe, Gary Talbot, Warren Peyton, Steve Bushell, Lewis Chalmers, Robbie Lawton, Rod Thornley, Joe O'Neill and Colin Little, while the reserves, wearing blue, comprised Chris Rowley, Gary Scott, Laurence Ball, Aaron Edwards, Adam Eaton (a trialist), Colin Potts, Pat McFadden, Astley Mulholland, Lee Hendley, Sebastian (a trialiast) and Peter Thomson. Present but prevented by injury from taking part were Val Owen, Stephen Rose and Peter Band.
Both trialists gave solid performances whilst Colin Little showed that he has regained his sharpness after his injury lay-off. Lee Hendley will have done his cause no harm whilst Astley Mulholland and Pat McFadden showed their versatility with their game in central midfield. Reserve centre-backs Ball and Edwards also did not look out of place against Conference standard players.
