Following almost a fortnight's competitive inactivity the Robins return to league action on Saturday when they entertain Crawley Town.
The Sussex side were lucky to survive in the Conference last season when, as a result of financial irregularities they were deducted 10 points from the start of this season.
It could have been worse if they had been guilty of a much more serious offence, say, fielding a player without international clearance.
They have been reprieved to lurch from one crisis to another this season.
Indeed there was some doubt as to whether the Robins spell of inactivity would be extended a further week if the southerners went into liquidation.
However they will soldier on at least until a creditors meeting in early December.
They will, however, be without former manager John Hollins, recently released as a cost-cutting exercise.
Three points from this game will be very useful for the Robins but, even if won, there would be some doubt over their permanency should the opponents record ultimately be expunged.
At last the injury list is being whittled down with Peter Band and Gary Talbot remaining the main absentees. This improvement in player availability is most welcome as the crucial mid-point of the season is reached.
With the FA Trophy being the only remaining distraction from seeking league safety the Robins will knuckle down to ensuring Conference football next season.
