STUNNING scenes of Hale Village have been captured by Manchester artist Stephen Campbell in a series of oil paintings.
The acclaimed young artist has painted four pictures entitled: Remember Me, Danilo’s, Hale Cemetery and Ashley Road. The captivating images are captured in an unusual fish eye style.
The works are currently on display in the Clark Art gallery in Hale. Two of the four sold prior to their completion.
Bill Clark, owner of Clark Art said: “Stephen is an extremely talented local artist – the type which we strive to showcase in the gallery. His paintings always prove extremely popular with our customers and his Hale series has been no exception.
“Two of the paintings sold before they were even completed and Stephen has been approached in the street with requests for bespoke pieces of artwork. He has recently been commissioned to do a painting of Hale Railway Station to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the railway coming to Hale in May. A print of the painting will be presented to the Hale Civic Society.
“He is definitely one to watch on the Northern art scene.”
Stephen’s work has included paintings of Sale.
