ALTRINCHAM Preparatory School's year two boys visited the cenotaph in Bowdon recently as part of their history project on "Events from the Past".
The youngsters who have been discussing the importance of remembering those killed in the First and Second World Wars had the opportunity to read the inscription on the monument and look at the poppy wreathes laid their.
Caroline Austen, assistant deputy head and year two teacher said: "We feel that this visit helps the boys understand the importance of the historical events they are learning about, it gives them some perspective to those events and the importance of the act of remembrance."
