A ROCK and roll night raised the roof at Blessed Thomas Holford College and helped raise more than £3,600 for the Christie Lymphoma Research Fund.
With the help of music from Colin Paul and the Persuaders, Kenny Johnson and DJ Jive Inn Jim Kelly, rock and rollers of all ages came to support Mo and Bob Cooper.
Women donning their 1950s layered dresses were twirled round by coiffured men in frock coats and winkle picker shoes on the packed dance floor, while a raffle and auction with a guest appearance from Mr Blobby helped increase the takings.
Offers are still being taken for a signed Manchester United shirt with bids starting at £500.
Anyone wishing to make a donation or bid for the shirt, contact Mo and Bob on 0161 928 9599 or email coopers60@hotmail.com.
