Police in Trafford are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a pub in Timperley last night.
It is the second attack on a pub on Trafford this week.
At approximately 11.15pm staff were clearing up for the night at the Hare and Hounds pub, on Wood Lane, Timperley.
Three masked men carrying a meat cleaver, hammer and a metal bar then entered the pub via the back door and ordered staff and the remaining customers to lie on the floor.
They then forced a male member of staff to hand over a quantity of cash. The man was punched during the incident and received a rib injury. The offenders then left the pub, possibly in the direction of Stockport Road.
The male member of staff was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital for treatment. He was later discharged.
No-one else was hurt in the robbery.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to phone Stretford CID on 0161 856 7667 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
