THE Friends of Halecroft Park group is holding an event to commemorate the outbreak of the First World War.
The event will take place between 11am and 1pm on August 3.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served among the park's poppy garden.
Organisers stress that all are welcome and the occasion will be strictly non-religious.
