BROADHEATH Community Association and Woodstock Park Friends group are putting on a First World War themed picnic for residents in the area at Woodstock Park on August 13 from noon to 3pm.
Sandwiches, cakes, hot dogs, beef burgers and tea, cream soda, Dandelion and Burdoch will be provided.
There will be songs from WWI and other attractions include a bric-a-brac stall.
Attractions for children include football coaching sessions, a bouncy castle, a tombola and face painting.
Brenda Houraghan, vice-chairman of the Community Association and Chairman of Fundraising said:
“We were fortunate to receive a grant towards expenses from the Trafford Housing Trust, Altrincham Panel.
“The event will go on with gazebos, etc even if it rains.”
Admission free.
