LORETO Grammar School's talented academics were jumping for joy after A-cing their A-levels with 63 per cent of all grades at A* to B and a record 24 girls gaining three or more A* or A grades or better.

Daisy McDonagh, 18, from Heaton Moor, got an A* and two A grades and will read English Literature at Newcastle.
Phoebe Ward, 18, from Hazel Grove who got three A*s and one A and will read Government and Economics at the London School of Economics.
Sarah Parker, 17, from Timperley, who got three A*s and an A and will Medicine at Manchester.
Sarah Davidson, 18, from Sale, who got five straight A grades and will read Chemistry at Sheffield. Katie Edwards, from Lymm, got three As and will read Medicine at Sheffield.
While Erika McKeever, 17, from Disley got an A* and two A grades and will read History at Newcastle.
Headteacher of the Loreto Grammar Sixth, Helen Jordan, said: “We are delighted to note that the hard work and commitment of the girls has been translated into very successful results.
"As always we celebrate individual successes and this year with our girls going up to a wide range of outstanding universities including Princeton in the US.”
