STUDENTS and teachers at Altrincham Grammar School for Boys celebrated their best ever results this year.
25 per cent of grades were at A*, 61 per cent at A*/A and 84 per cent at A*/A/B.
Headmaster, Tim Gartside, said: “We expected strong results from this very able group of students but they have exceeded our expectations.
"The results are made even more impressive in the context of lower A Level grades nationally.”
The school gave special congratulations to nine students who achieved a full set of A* grades:
