URMSTON Grammar School is delighted with the success of its Year 13 students, so many of whom have achieved their personal goals and secured places at the universities of their choice. T here were many individual successes and the school would like to congratulate them all for their hard work and dedication.
A remarkable 14 students gained a sweep of straight A* and A grades - 23 A* grades and 19 A grades between them: Taghreed Ayaz, Christopher Barnes, Victoria Hall, Eleanor Horner, Eddie Jones, Rhea Leslie, Matthew Marshall, Zoe Mifsud, Apoorva Prasad, Pranu Ragatha, Ellie Reynolds, Olivia Rowles, William Royle and Alex Sykes.
All these results are truly impressive and include: Vicky Hall who has achieved 2 A*& 3 A grades and will be studying Physics and Astronomy at Durham.
Eddie Jones achieved 3 A* & 1 A grades and has secured a place to read Classical Archaeology and Ancient History at Magdalen College, Oxford.
Rhea Leslie has achieved 1 A* & 2 A grades and will be reading Medicine at Oxford; Pranu Ragatha achieved 1 A* & 2 A grades and will study Medicine at Liverpool.
Zoe Mifsud has achieved 3 A* grades and will be studying Mathematics; Alex Sykes achieved 3 A* grades and will read Biochemistry at Wadham College, Oxford and Apoorva Prasad achieved 3A* & 1A grades and will be studying Engineering.
A spokesman for the school said: "We are proud of all our students and wish them all well in the next phase of the education. Well done to all!
