ST Bede’s pupils are celebrating this week, having achieved some fantastic results at GCSE.
Seven students scored straights A*s and As, with many more achieving A* to B grades.
Straight A students Dat Minh Doan (9A*s, 1A), Timothy Mak (9A*s, 1A), Rachael Brown (8A*s, 2As), Deaglan Nolan (7A*s, 2As), Daniel Ridley (5A*s, 5As), Chipo Shumba (4A*s, 4As) and Harry McLachlan (4A*s, 4As) deserve a special mention.
Acting Headteacher, Mrs Pike, was delighted with her pupils’ success.
She said: “These pupils have achieved very highly and it is no less than they deserve, but I am also delighted with the very large number of students who have performed superbly across the ability range.
"That seventy one percent of grades awarded were at A*- B is particularly pleasing in a year when results nationally have been described by Ofqual as ‘erratic’.
“These impressive results are testament to the dedication of the pupils, as well as the hard work and commitment of their teachers and parents.”
