BRILLIANT Loreto Grammar School GCSE students were seeing stars after producing record results at the top Altrincham faith school.
An astonishing 70 per cent of all grades were at A* or A, up from 62 per cent last year; 92 per cent were A* to B with 53 girls, gaining 10 A*s or A grades.
Florence Lennon-Butler, Annabel Butcher and Mary Barry from Altrincham and Helena Stiles from Bramhall, were the fabulous four girls who all got a clean sweep of 11 A*s.
Loreto Grammar School headteacher, Jane Beever, paid tribute to the girls: “Loreto focuses on a partnership between home and school and the creation of a community spirit in which every single girl is individually supported, encouraged and empowered to achieve their very best.
“However, what really distinguishes the top performers is that inner steel. These girls have shown the drive, determination and true grit to achieve these superb results."
Mrs Beever concluded: “No one should be fooled, results like these are not easy to achieve. They are the product of not months, but years of hard work.”
