Have been a bit busy lately and haven't been able to set aside any blogging time, sorry to those of you who hang on my every word (yeh right!!!). Life here at The Adventure Farm is always hectic, but that's the way we like it! It just seems that recently it has gone a bit mad, and luxury activities such as blogging have had to take a back seat.
As well as still being in the throes of our Free Holiday Programme, we are also in Christmas mode and going full throttle to get the festive season funded and organised! I know none of you want to actually think about Christmas yet, but it's a necessity here as we have 4 weeks of Christmas Parties and countless events to organise - the biggest of which being our Christmas Ball at Mere Golf & Country Club on 1 December.
So last week I put my Christmas decorations up here in the office - don't get too appalled - this consists of a plastic wreath with a 1.5 inch circumference which I blu-tacked to my monitor - oh and a pair of snowflake deely-bopper things! Neither of which lasted long as they got on my nerves, bah humbug!
I feel a little hypocritical talking about Christmas this early as I abhor the current trend for starting Christmas in September, and having it rammed down our throats until we're all sick of it by November! BUT, it is necessary if we are to provide Christmas Parties for over 600 disabled and disadvantaged children this year AND a Grand Ball for around 350 of our favourite supporters!
So its full steam ahead on Santa's Christmas train (sorry, that was awful) as we crack on with raising the £15,000 needed for the Parties, plus sponsorship for the Ball. If any of you fancy lending a hand it would be hugely appreciated. I might even rope Billy and Ellie in, I think they'd look very cute in little duck Santa Hats.
You think I'm joking.
