ONE of Trafford's quirkiest attractions invited volunteers from community groups and charities to celebrate its first birthday.

Dino Falls Adventure Golf, the Jurassic themed mini golf centre in Trafford City, launched in November last year and recently celebrated its 150,000th round on the 18-hole course.

Volunteers from Forever Manchester, Once Upon a Smile, Salford Foundation - Eccles, Children’s Adventure Farm Trust and De Brooke Lodge Care Home, were treated to a fun-packed day of dinosaur action.

Pete Styles, director of golf, at Trafford Golf Centre and Dino Falls, said: “Our first year in business has exceeded all of our expectations, and we’ve fast become a must-do activity among Manchester’s leisure scene.

“We wanted to mark our first birthday by doing something to give back to our local communities and a free day of adventure golf for local charities and groups was the perfect way to celebrate.

"We had around 100 volunteers play the course and enjoy VIP treatment for the day, from young children to a group of elderly care home residents, a fantastic celebration.”

Gigantic moving (and roaring!) dinosaurs, including a Tyrannosaurus Rex, feature on the course, which is set around a winding river and huge cascading waterfall, along with a ‘Selfie-osaurus’ for capturing memorable moments.
