COUNCILLORS have given the green light to renew the licence for a lap dancing bar in Altrincham - despite a complaint.
The owners of Totties, on The Causeway, had been askedt to appear before the borough's licensing committee.
An anonymous complaint cited concerns about the effect on pupils at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls and Loretto Grammar, as well as local boys.
But owner Roy Dodd said the venue did not open until 8pm, reducing any risk for schoolchildren.
Committee chairman Cllr Anne Duffield, said to members: “There is no evidence here of anything other than a well-run establishment."
Cllr Dylan Butt added: “It doesn’t seem to be on the path of school traffic.”
