AN URMSTON GP practice is appealing for kindness from its patients after a rise in ‘abusive and aggressive’ behaviour.
Urmston Group Practice on Woodsend Crescent Road made the appeal on Twitter at around 10.30am this morning.
The tweet did not go into detail about the abuse and aggression faced by staff at the practice, who include several GPs and nurses, as well as healthcare staff and administrative staff.
It said: “We are experiencing a high volume of abusive and aggressive encounters.
“Please remember we are trying our best to keep you safe and well.
“We will take steps with patients who are consistently abusive and aggressive towards our staff.
“Please be kind and remember we are people too.”
Urmston Group Practice is thought to have texted its patients with a similar appeal.
The practice has been approached for a comment.
