SALE Foodhall is now open – and it is serving hundreds of free beers, burgers and pizzas to mark the occasion.
The food hall on Stanley Square, on the old site of Groceries and Beer, opened its doors at the end of last week.
Home to a bar, three independent food businesses, a dining and drinking space and a shop, the 5,500-square-foot Sale Foodhall is the second site of its type belonging to Mital Morar's Store Group after Stretford Foodhall in Stretford Mall.
Mr Morar said: "Reflecting on our journey here in Sale, it feel exciting to be evolving into this large unit from our original Groceries and Beer.
"Sale is wonderful – we’ve been made so welcome here over the past couple of years and we've become very embedded in the neighbourhood.
"This is our biggest food hall and it gives us so much opportunity to do more of what we love as a business, which is working with communities and collaborating with like-minded people. We're looking forward to welcoming everyone."
On Thursday, November 25, from 5pm to 8pm, the food hall is holding a celebration for the people of Sale with 100 free beers, 100 free burgers from What's Your Beef and 100 free pizzas from Basilico.
What's Your Beef and Basilico are Sale Foodhall's two permanent residents, with the other set to rotate between other independent food businesses starting with Cyprus Kousina until the end of December.
To get a free beer, burger or pizza, all people need to do is follow the food hall (@foodhalls_), What's Your Beef (@whatsyourbeefburgers) and Basilico (@basilicomanchester) on Instagram, before looking out for the relevant posts and showing them to staff on the day.
Everything will be on a first come, first served basis.
Sale Foodhall is open every day from 9am to 11pm.
