FORMER cook Amy Bushell enjoyed being waited on herself at a party for her 100th birthday.
Amy's family and friends gathered for her birthday bash in Dunham Village, the area where she lived for most of her life.
Amy - known as Pam - was born on January 16, 1908 in Tarporley, Cheshire. She was the youngest of six children.
Amy came to work for Mr and Mrs Wrigley as a cook at Dunham Massey Lodge.
She married her late husband, William Bushell, in 1936.
The couple lived at Pear Tree Farm in Dunham Massey where her two sons, Alan and Clifford, were born.
She moved to Black Brow Farm, Dunham Massey, in 1950, and Village Farm, Dunham Woodhouses in 1970, where she lived until recently.
Amy - who is now a resident at Oldfield Bank Residential Care Home in Altrincham - has seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
She was a founder member of Dunham Massey Women's Institute, a village hall committee member, a regular attender of Sinderland Chapel and a member of Dunham Massey Friendship Club.
