THE cost of some Metrolink season tickets will go up from February 1.
Weekly tickets will rise by a maximum of 60p and quarterly tickets by a maximum of £7. There will be no increases to four-weekly, annual or child tickets.
The cost of a season ticket between Altrincham and Manchester will increase by 60p to £21.80 for a weekly ticket, and by £7 to £232 for a quarterly ticket.
A new weekend family ticket costs £5 for a one-day pass and £7 for a two-day pass.
Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE), which owns the Metrolink network, pledged not to increase season ticket prices until February this year when new single and return fares were introduced in November.
