A GYM in Urmston rallied its members to raise food, treats and toys for the dogs at Manchester Dogs' Home last month.
The management of Anytime Fitness were overwhelmed by the generous response of their members, as well as of their family, friends and other business, who dropped off donations at their site on Flixton Road.
After collecting the donations, gym manager Tara Neill and assistant gym manager Antony Pitts took them to Manchester Dogs' Home and delivered them to the hundreds of dogs still waiting for a forever home.
Antony said: "We were delighted to be able to support a local cause that is close to our members' hearts.
"The generosity of our membership community and fellow local businesses was amazing to see and we hope it made a real difference to the team at Manchester Dogs' Home.
"Without the support and donations of the general public, they would not be able to do the work they do, and we look forward to doing more with them going forward."
