Police are hunting for two raiders after shop workers were threatened at knifepoint during an armed robbery in Sale.
At about 9.40pm on Wednesday, 16 January, two men entered the Corner Shop on Park Road, Sale, posing as customers.
However, one of the offenders then produced a six inch serrated knife that was rounded at the end. The other was armed with a metal bar. They demanded to know where the safe was and, when told there was no safe on the premises, went into the back room and stole a mobile phone.
The thieves then took a small quantity of cash out of the till, kicked a panel out of the rear door and fled on foot down Park Road.
No-one was injured during the incident.
The first offender is described as white, about 6ft 3in tall, of slim build and wearing black leisure-type clothing, dark gloves and black trainers. The second man is described as white, about 5ft 7in tall, of slim build and wearing Nike trainers.
Anyone who witnessed the two men fleeing the scene or has any information about the incident is asked to call Stretford CID on 0161 856 7652 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
