FLOODING remains a risk in Trafford after the River Mersey burst its banks over the weekend.
Residents in East Didsbury and West Didsbury were evacuated on Sunday into the early hours of Monday after a severe flood warning, which means there is a danger to life.
Despite an improvement in the weather this week, a flood alert remains in place along the River Mersey, including in areas like Sale, Stretford and Urmston. This means flooding is possible.
The Environment Agency's advice asks residents to be aware of their surroundings, and not to attempt to cross water in flooded areas on foot or by car.
