BOWDONBURY returns to the borough this weekend with star appearances from the likes of Britney Spears, Elton John, Take That and Tina Turner.
The festival at Bowdon Cricket Club started its inaugural event last year, and returns this Friday evening before an all-day event throughout Saturday.
On Friday, families are invited to a concert featuring Take That Live, the best Take That tribute band in the UK according to the National Tribute Awards, as well as award-winning Britney Spears impersonator Michaela Weeks.
Then, on Saturday, it is the turn of Paul Bacon as Ultimate Elton and Paula Randell as Totally Tina.
The entertainment also includes acts from the area and attractions like a market and obstacle course.
And the festival is fuelled by a food and drink offering from artisan traders, from beer, cocktail and wine bars to burger, pizza and street food stalls.
Organiser Max Eden said: “I’m delighted to be able to bring back the Bowdonbury Festival. The event, which we launched last year, has been embraced by both the local community and festivalgoers from further afield who appreciate the family-friendly entertainment and fantastic music we work to bring together.
“We’ve got another great line up of talent for 2022, and plenty for families to enjoy throughout the day and evening with a real emphasis again on supporting the superb local and regional food and drink scene and other businesses."
All profits from Bowdonbury go to Bowdon Cricket Club or to charity Teenage Cancer Trust. For information and tickets, go to bowdonbury.co.uk.
