A Timperley man is one of five charged with a range of offences after dozens of arrests were made at Parklife Festival over the weekend.
The event in Heaton Park attracted around 160,000 people over two days, and was one of several events around Greater Manchester which saw the police plan their response up to six months in advance.
Since the festival, Stephen Dorsey, of Tabley Grove, has been charged with driving while disqualified and driving while under the influence of drugs.
The 33-year-old appeared in court this week, and is set to appear again in September.
The others charged with offences are:
Harvey McMulkin, 20, of Abbeylea Drive in Bolton, who has been charged with obstructing police.
Jake Twist, 22, of Neville Drive in Irlam, who has been charged with possession of a bladed article.
Mthulisi Khumalo, 25, of Hollowgate in Rotherham, who has been charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol.
Marek Ondo, 35, of Kimberley Street in Salford, who has been charged with possession with intent to supply, driving while disqualified and without a licence or insurance.
As well as those charged with offences, Atiqe Edwards, 18, of no fixed address, has been sentenced to eight months in a Young Offenders Institution for possession of a bladed article. He tried to enter the festival with a knife.
Superintendent Andy Sidebotham, GMP’s Gold Commander over the weekend, said: "The weekend was exceptionally busy with 400,000 people visiting over the space of four days for concerts and the annual Parklife Festival.
"The events were a result of month of planning by officers and partners all across the region to make sure they were as safe and enjoyable as possible.
"Over 160,000 people were at Parklife Festival alone over the two days and just over 50 were arrested. The event was thoroughly enjoyed by thousands and passed without any large-scale incidents, which, considering the size and scale of the weekend events, is a brilliant result.
"I would like to thank the public for their patience and cooperation on what were two very busy days for both the region and the emergency services.
"Security and our partners at Heaton Park worked meticulously alongside us across the whole weekend and weapons and drugs were seized as a result. These items could have led to fatal consequences.
"The transport network experienced probably its busiest day of the year alongside the hundreds of officers deployed and all of our partners at every single event on what was a challenging weekend."
