Trafford is set to commemorate the sacrifices of its servicemen and servicewomen at events across the area this Remembrance Sunday.
These services allow residents to remember those who lost their lives in the two World Wars, as well as in a number of other conflicts.
The Mayor of Trafford, Cllr Chris Boyes, is set to attend events in Hale and Sale, which are at St Peter's Church and Sale War Memorial respectively.
But there are also services in Altrincham, Bowdon, Hale Barns, Partington, Stretford and Urmston.
Cllr Boyes said: "It is so important we remember all the members of our Armed Forces who died to protect us and our way of life.
"We have precious freedoms to choose how we want to live our life and there is so much we can do that we often take for granted.
"It is therefore right that we take a moment to pause and to reflect on the heroic sacrifices made by our Armed Forces.
"I would urge everyone to attend one of the services in our borough in order to pay our respects and to give our thanks in remembrance of the fallen."
