A college in Trafford has announced the winners of its annual poetry competition.
The Trafford College Group launched its annual poetry competition on National Poetry Day to invite students from across the college group to submit their creative works.
Students were put to the task of writing a poem that answered the brief: "what does it mean to be inclusive?"
There were six winners from across the college group, two of whom are from Trafford while the rest hail from Cheadle, Marple and Stockport.
All six were presented their plaques during the 2022 Student Question Time event at the University Academy 92.
A handful of local dignitaries attended the event, such as the Mayors of both Trafford and Stockport, as well as Trafford College Group partners.
The poetry competition winners from Trafford were Harry Foulkes, studying level 2 business, and Mollie-Jayne Dockrill who collected a group award on behalf of the progression curriculum.
Meanwhile, winners Ethan Hales and Laiba Ahmed Bibi study in Stockport with Ethan completing his level one in bricklaying and Laiba pursuing her GCSEs.
A-level students, Isabella Pendlebury and Alicia Ahmed, who study in Marple and Cheadle respectively, also collected their awards at the end.
In a post online, Trafford College said: "Congratulations to the winners of the Trafford College Group Annual Poetry Competition."
