Trafford Council is asking residents for their opinions on its multi million pound plan for Partington.

The authority received £18 million for investment into the town after a bid to the Levelling Up scheme was successful towards the start of this year.

The sum is set to be spent on the renovation of the sports village as well as in areas like the changing rooms and pump track at a park on Cross Lane.

Trafford Council is asking residents for their opinions on the multi million pound plan via an online consultation and an in-person consultation at the sports village and St Mary's church this month and next month.

Jo Cherrett, the chief executive of Trafford Leisure, said: "The Levelling Up grant will fund a comprehensive plan to generate opportunities for the people of Partington and will help to make Partington and Trafford an even greater place to live, study, work and play.

"The redevelopment of the sports village will make a huge difference to the health and wellbeing of our community and we encourage residents to participate in the process to ensure their voice and values are heard."

At the start of this year two other bids to the Levelling Up scheme worth £30 million were unsuccessful.

'Connecting Culture' aimed to make improvements to heritage assets such as arts centres, cemeteries, libraries and parks, and to link them together into a heritage trail.
