Residents in Altrincham are being warned that a busy road is closing for two weeks from Monday.
Seamons Bridge is closing for highway and gas main replacement works to be carried out.
Trafford Council has said residential access will be “maintained where possible” and that pedestrians and cyclists will be unaffected.
In a social media post on Friday, the council wrote: “Seamons Bridge, Altrincham, will be closed from Monday for highway and gas main replacement works.
“It's anticipated the road will be closed for two weeks - residential access will be maintained where possible.
“Pedestrians and cyclists will be unaffected.”
According to One Network works by the regional gas distribution company Cadent are set to be completed by Monday, August 14.
