Volunteers for Altrincham Football Club have been sponsored for the first time by a local business.
Altrincham FC is home to a large and passionate volunteer community who are considered "the heart and soul" of the club, proving vital to its operation.
Now, for the first time, its army of volunteers will receive brand new shirts thanks to a sponsorship with the Stamford Quarter.
The retail and leisure park offers a range of experiences to residents and visitors and said it is "thrilled" to announce the exciting partnership as it will be the first official shirt sponsor for the club's volunteers.
The partnership represents the union of two esteemed institutions in Altrincham that share a passion for promoting the town's community spirit and enhancing the area's vitality.
Together, The Stamford Quarter and Altrincham FC, known locally as 'the Robins', aim to build upon the heritage and success of the club while championing the growth and prosperity of the Altrincham community.
Andrea George, director of town centres and consumer brands at Bruntwood, said: "We are delighted to join forces with Altrincham Football Club as the first-ever official shirt sponsor for its volunteer programme.
"As a vital part of the local community, The Stamford Quarter has always been committed to supporting Altrincham's progress and prosperity. We are thrilled to unite our efforts with Altrincham FC, an esteemed club with a rich history and an unwavering dedication to the community.”
Sam Mackenzie, director of partnerships and sponsorships at Altrincham FC added: "The partnership we are starting with Bruntwood is centred around our volunteers.
"Our volunteer group are the very heartbeat of the football club: delivering our media output, working on match day, answering the phones, painting the fences, selling retail, working the turnstiles, maintaining our pitch and so much more.
“The core values Bruntwood holds around Altrincham mirror our own.
"For me, this is a perfect partnership and I thank Bruntwood for their support.
"To be able to get our volunteers looking and feeling part of the club is just such a wonderful contribution.“
