A yellow weather warning has been issued to Trafford for tomorrow (August 14) as the borough prepares for a day of heavy rain.
The Met Office has issued the yellow warning to the North West, the North East, large parts of Yorkshire and parts of Wales.
Oldham will see rain which will be heavy and persistent at times and could potentially bring disruption to transport and infratructure.
According to the Met Office, Trafford residents can expect:
- A small chance of homes and businesses being flooded, causing damage to some buildings
- A small chance that some communities will be temporarily cut off by flooded roads
- Spray and flooding is likely to lead to some difficult driving conditions and road closures
- Where flooding occurs, there is a chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services
- A slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses
The warning has been issued between midnight tonight and 9pm tomorrow.
