A police investigation has been launched in Stretford after a man died following a suspected fall from a block of flats.
At around 9pm last night (Saturday) emergency services were called to Chapel Lane in Stretford after a man was found with “serious injuries”. It is believed he fell from a block of flats.
The man, thought to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police officers remain at the scene, but it is not believed that anyone else is involved in the incident.
In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: “Emergency services were called to Chapel Lane in Stretford at around 9pm tonight (26/8/23) after a man was found with serious injuries after it is believed he fell from a block of flats.
“Officers are investigating after the man, believed to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“It is not currently believed that anyone else is involved in the incident and there is currently a scene and police officers at the location.
“The investigation is ongoing.”
