A Trafford man has been jailed after behaving in an unacceptable manner while on the phone with his responsible officer while serving a community order.
Shane Brown, of Lowther Gardens, Urmston, appeared Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on August 16 after failing to comply with the requirements of a community order.
The 43-year-old was on a telephone call with a responsible officer on March 24 this year when he behaved in an unacceptable manner.
Brown had originally been handed a community order after assaulting a woman, damaging her living room window and stealing her mobile phone in Warrington on May 1, 2020.
At Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court earlier this month, Brown was sentenced to eight weeks in prison.
This was due to him displaying a wilful and persistent failure to comply with the requirements of his community order.
Brown showed a flagrant disregard for court orders by failing to attend a number of probation meetings.
