A fundraising walk through Trafford has been organised to support a young boy with cancer.
Kissdental, a private dental practice, has organised a walk from their practice in Flixton to their practice in Altrincham on Saturday, September 23.
The walk looks to raise money for a four-year-old boy named Dillan, whose family are looking to get funding so he can undergo an experimental treatment in the United States.
According to Dillan's mother, Amy Ramsey, her son was diagnosed with Leukaemia when he was one and was given a 93 per cent cure rate.
However, after two years of chemotherapy, Dillan relapsed August last year.
He had a bone marrow transplant at Christmas and relapsed again in March before having Car T cell therapy in May this year.
The family were recently told that Dillan had relapsed again in his bone marrow and that there were no more treatment options in the UK, leaving his chance of recovering very low.
The family have been raising funds for him to undergo an experimental treatment in Washington, which is self-funded, and have already raised nearly £500,000 of a £1,000,000 target.
The two-hour walk from Flixton to Altrincham will look to raise funds for the family, who are set to travel to the United States the day after the charity walk.
Dillan will remain at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London until then.
Amy said: "Dillan should not have to go through this, he is the most precious, kind, amazing little boy with the funniest character.
"I can’t bear the thought of losing him, we need as much help financially as we can get."
